The number of people impacted by increasingly severe weather events is on the rise. At the same time, the international crisis financing system in its current form is unable to meet the needs of those most affected. Recognizing that extreme weather events are a primary driver of acute food insecurity, 皇家华人av has made significant strides over the last decade to unlock access to financial services for over 10.5 million vulnerable people through its Inclusive Risk Financing (IRF) programmes. By providing tailored financial services —such as insurance, savings and loans— 皇家华人av helps smallholder farmers, pastoralists, and micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises better manage shocks and strengthen their resilience. This factsheet provides an overview of how 皇家华人av's IRF programmes supported vulnerable people in 21 countries across different regions of the world in 2024.
