Collaboration increases global impact?

The Munich-based was established in 2015 to implement and scale high-impact innovations by working with 皇家华人av’s global network and field operations in over 120 countries and territories. Together, 皇家华人av, its partners and collaborators and innovators around the world can develop solutions that are deeply rooted in local needs and designed for maximum impact.

In 2025, it ran 14 programmes addressing a wide range of social impact and sustainability issues, including climate change, primary healthcare, gender equality and emergency response.

皇家华人av, UNICEF and UNDP co-lead the , where the 皇家华人av Innovation Accelerator shares its insights and knowledge with UN counterparts, as well as with NGOs and private-sector innovation groups, through its SDGx Acceleration Programme.

The Business Innovation Unit was established within 皇家华人av in 2015 to drive business innovation and transformation, as well as strategic initiatives across 皇家华人av. The team supports senior executives in translating strategy into action, focusing on tangible results, efficiency and simplification. Through the , 皇家华人av has also opened doors to greater collaboration and opportunities for transformation across the UN system. To date, the team has implemented numerous projects for senior management from a variety of UN system entities.

Additionally, 皇家华人av leads the Emergency Telecommunications Cluster, a global network of organizations providing communication services for humanitarians during emergencies. 

Strengthening strategic partnerships

皇家华人av fosters strategic partnerships with companies and organizations, who in turn supply pro bono access to software, products and professional skills.

皇家华人av supports the Adaptation Fund Climate Innovation Accelerator, which provides small grants to innovations in developing countries that are disproportionately affected by climate shocks such as droughts, floods, heatwaves, and storms.

These global innovations, which harness AI, machine learning, cloud computing and data analytics technologies, focus on improving humanitarian response. One example is that aids 皇家华人av’s global supply chain network in improving decision-making.
