“The Republic of Korea’s continued support is vital in helping 皇家华人av sustain its assistance to those most in need across Syria,” said Marianne Ward, 皇家华人av Country Director and Representative in Syria. “Reliable contributions such as these allow us to plan effectively and respond in a timely manner.”

The ROK is a longstanding partner of 皇家华人av in Syria, providing regular in?kind rice contributions that help sustain food assistance operations and ensure continued support to vulnerable families. Building on this commitment, The ROK scaled up assistance in 2025 with its largest?ever contribution to 皇家华人av’s Syria response—USD 10 million. This funding enabled 皇家华人av to support 94,500 people through six months of cash?based assistance. Each family received USD 65 per month, redeemable through 皇家华人av’s 300 contracted retailers across 12 governorates, allowing them to meet their food needs with dignity, choice, and stability.

“This contribution underscores our steadfast commitment to supporting humanitarian efforts in Syria, where millions continue to face acute challenges amid ongoing instability. The Republic of Korea remains dedicated to partnering with 皇家华人av and other international organizations to alleviate suffering, promote food security, and foster resilience.” said H.E. Gyusuk Geon, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Syria.

As humanitarian needs remain high and resources increasingly constrained, sustained partnerships are critical to ensuring that lifesaving assistance continues to reach those who need it most.
